Banners for the Queen Street Viaduct

After more than two years of preparation, the banners and wayfinding signs I designed have been installed on the Queen St. Bridge, the span that crosses the Bayview Extension and Lower Don River near Queen and Broadview Avenues. The signs were designed as a sculptural “Western Gate” into Riverside, the historic district that includes landmarks like the Broadview Hotel (formerly Jilly’s) and the old postal station that houses Ralph Thornton Centre and the Queen Saulter Library.

Thanks to Nicolas Chin for this photo. Nick created the Riverside logo that is cut into the steel ribbon.
