Banners for the Queen Street Viaduct
After more than two years of preparation, the banners and wayfinding signs I designed have been installed on the Queen St. Bridge, the span that crosses the Bayview Extension and Lower Don River near Queen and Broadview Avenues. The signs were designed as a sculptural “Western Gate” into Riverside, the historic district that includes landmarks like the Broadview Hotel (formerly Jilly’s) and the old postal station that houses Ralph Thornton Centre and the Queen Saulter Library.

Grow Op at the Gladstone Hotel, April 23-26
This is a wonderful 4-day event with many artists and landscape architects, urban planners and ecologists working to create opportunities for reflection on the urban environment. The hotel is a beautiful setting for the many installations and events. The food is great too. I will be doing an artist talk on Saturday afternoon.
